Hi.

In life and in design, I like starting points, end goals, and the alchemy of what happens along the way. I like to think of a design as an invitation that asks for a viewer’s attention and engagement. My work is to make it easy and worthwhile to accept that invitation; it’s something I love to do.

I’m endlessly curious about the world and what the day has to say for itself; my interests range far and wide and swing back around to inform my design approach and sensibilities. What stops me in my tracks: shadows, reflections, urban fossils, incongruities, street art, evidence of time, green growing things. Unexpected generosity. Beautifully executed work. Shoes.

     Why, thank you!

I hired Diana to provide us with a general design concept for SFUSD’s new math curriculum web portals, and to create a set of icons to represent the mathematics of each unit. Diana created a stunning collection of icons that are unified in style and color scheme, and found incredibly creative ways to transform our rough descriptions into icon-sized representations that were simple, beautiful, and mathematically accurate.

Diana completed the work on time and under budget, and she was extremely receptive to revisions based on our feedback. We could not be more satisfied with the work Diana produced, and I would highly recommend her as a graphic designer for any project you might have.

Andres Marti, SFUSD Curriculum Development

Diana hit the ground running when I left her in charge of my design business. With brief outlines and a few client introductions, Diana was able to step in for me when I was on medical leave, juggling multiple clients and complex projects. She is a delight to work with, smart, funny. She has great people skills and is a quick study on new projects. She is conscientious and a hard worker. I would highly recommend Diana to anyone considering hiring her.

Kristen Throop, Combustion Creative

Diana was a pleasure to work with at Cardstore. She blends top-notch creative solutions with excellent technical skills and a calm attitude. Her grace and reliability under tight deadlines and shifting priorities were tremendous assets to our team. I recommend Diana highly.

Besty Cordes, February 13 Creative

Diana’s creative sensibility is multi-faceted; she brings both an intuitive and studied aesthetic to her work… she is warm and gracious and a pleasure to work with each and every day.

Equally comfortable working independently on projects or collaborating with a team, she is attentive to the strategic goals of a project as well as to the details, and is always mindful of deadlines and budgets. She is a quick study, able to translate product knowledge into market savvy collateral for both print and electronic distribution.

Diana has been an esteemed member of Key’s marketing team for nearly four years. It has been a joy to work with her and I would hire her in a heartbeat should that opportunity arise in the future!

Judy Anderson, Key Curriculum Press

From the initial brainstorming sessions to the final press check, Diana is a wonderful designer. She is creative, smart and always contributes great ideas. I enjoy working with her on design projects

Jeff Williams, PopSugar

Diana is fantastic. She’s the kind of freelance designer we all dream about, in that you can just hand over the work and NEVER worry that the job will be completed perfectly and on time. She always comes through.

Best of all, she’s super easy to work with. A very organized person by nature, but her wonderful personality makes it a breeze to collaborate. We’d hire her again in an instant!
